One is, over a period of time, when I start my computer up and go to desktop, its REALLY slow and sluggish, and i have to restart it for it to be fast again, and two is, i started my computer up today and got this "your copy of windows is not genuine" pop up. Any info? Thanks!

Please run the MGA Diagnostic Tool and post back the report it creates:
    • Download MGADiag to your desktop.
    • Double-click on MGADiag.exe to launch the program
    • Click "Continue"
    • Ensure that the "Windows" tab is selected (it should be by default).
    • Click the "Copy" button to copy the MGA Diagnostic Report to the Windows clipboard.
    • Paste the MGA Diagnostic Report back here in your next reply.

Where did you get your copy of Windows 7?
If you are running 6 gigs of RAM, then you have a 64 bit version and there is NO regular version. It will be Basic, Home, Home Premium, Ultimate and etc. Got to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows7/products/compare and see what version are available. If you were to go to Control Panel, and then System, it will tell what version you have.

If it came with your machine, where did you get it?
I would first check with the OEM (the place where you got your machine} and see what they are going to do you.

I had the "your copy of windows is not genuine" once for no good reason on Windows 7. Try doing a system restore back to yesterday or before and see if that clears it.

Please click here to download and install HijackThis.

Run it and select Do a system scan and save a logfile from the Main Menu.

The log will be saved in Notepad. Copy and paste the log in your next post.

    IMPORTANT: Do not fix anything

    Please download and run Autoruns.

Select the Logon tab and uncheck the following items:

    BDRegion

    PDVD8LanguageShortcut

    RemoteControl8

    Adobe Reader Speed Launcher

    Adobe ARM

    SunJavaUpdateSched

    QuickTime Task

    AutoStartNPSAgent

    LightScribe Control Panel

    Pando Media Booster

    Google Update

    OpenOffice.org 3.2.lnk

Other than your antivirus, firewall and Internet connectivity service, the Startup Type on most of your non-Microsoft Services (from programs YOU have installed), can be changed from Automatic to Manual. This will reduce the amount of processes running in the background and speed up your computer. The services will be started only when needed by the programs.

To get to the services, press the Windows key + R to open a Run box. Type in services.msc.

However, I have automated the process with a simple batch file so you won't need to do it manually for the following services:

    Apple Mobile Device
    Bonjour Service
    iPod Service
    Nero BackItUp Scheduler 4.0
    PnkBstrA
    RichVideo

Open and run the attached file.

    Reboot the computer.

Before I do that, I don't understand how those programs could seriously affect my computer to the point where its so sluggish to start up. I have 6 sticks of RAM, and a quad core...

Those programs don't need to load at Startup. You can run them whenever you need them. The more applications loading, the longer it will take for Windows to completely boot up.

Okay, well it's all been done. I appreciate the help, along with the patience that you have given me :)

I'll monitor how well this works, I rebooted computer and it took about a minute or less to get to desktop so I will stay optimistic haha. One last thing, the services zip. Do I need to run that like every day, or just running it was once was okay and I don't need it anymore?

No, it's a one time thing. You can get rid of the file. To change back the services, you can go with services.msc.
