Mu computer speakers will not work there is no volume icon in my task bar. Also when i go into sounds and audio devices i cant use any of the device volume or speaker setting buttons. Last my computer is telling me all my audio drivers are installed. I also tried reinstalling drivers numerous times. I would greatly appreciate any help.

In Control Panel>Sounds>Audio, does anything show up under Default Devices or is everything a bit grey?

Have a look in Control Panel>System>Hardware>Device Manager and right click the sound device which will presumably have a yellow mark beside it. Under the Details tab you should see PCI and Dev and if you note the four characters of each entry and input them at http://www.pcidatabase.com, you'll see the maker's name and hopefully, a link to their site. That should be the safest place to download the correct driver but if it's the same as one you already tried, the sound car may be dead. Is it onboard or an add-on card? Look around the back of the box - it's added on if it sits in a slot at right angles to the vertical sockets for USB, mouse, keyboard and the others.
