I'm trying really hard to not sound extremely dumb, but I can't help it this time.

I'm probably the only poster here who doesn't know this but:

How can I find out what speed my computer is?

    There it is. Instant replies.

    Thanks a million,

    Sky

sometimes not as easy as said

try going to start/run/type dxdiag and press enter. Your computers speed should be listed on the begining page

Or when you boot you computer is should show it on the boot screen

Or do you mean the speed of the processor?

This is my first EVER post so I may be wrong but can't you go to Start>Programs>Accesories>System Tools> System Information

IT may be wrong but what the hell I wanted to get post on the board. :)

    Hi skymasterson40,

Well i was going to refer you to wcpuid,
but i had a look first,
    and its been stopped.

So i will refer you to belarc.
Belarc gives you more than the speed
it gives you quite a bit of stuff.

    http://www.belarc.com/Download.html

    Best of luck,

    John
