My computer's startup is very slow. I'm pretty sure my system is clean from any kind of malware, thanks to Kevin (kevinf80), who helped me immensely with a recent malware problem that I've had. I just think it's all the programs that run on startup that is causing this problem.
Can anybody please help me make my computer faster? Thanks.

    1. The topic in our Malware forum
    http://forums.techguy.org/virus-oth...search-conduit-malware-removal-emergency.html

is not yet complete. Kevin has posted at 1101 hrs today.
    Please reply to that post.
There is no advantage in starting another topic until the malware matter is completely finalised.
Your interests are best served by completing that topic and indeed mentioning the issue to Kevin.

    2. You also have another topic running here
    http://forums.techguy.org/general-security/1088835-microsoft-security-essentials.html

If you are happy with the advice there and that issue may now be considered complete would you please mark that topic SOLVED by clicking on the mark solved button on your post
    Thank you

    3. You do actually have another topic running as well
    http://forums.techguy.org/general-security/1080310-whats-best-antivirus.html

Would you kindly mark that one solved pleased.

This keeps everything nice and tidy.
WHEN you have finished with Kevin in the malware topic it may be that he will ask you to post regarding the slow startup, or he may look at the problem for you.

If he does ask you to post in this forum, please resume on this topic, when we will of course be pleased to assist

Startup issues do not belong in the General Security forum so I'm moving this to the Windows 7 forum.

You should mention your concerns to Kevin and then he will decide if anything further needs to be done on the malware side and also whether or not he will be assisting with the startup issues.
