A friend asked me to look at her Toshiba Satellite L455 Laptop. Apparently her dog chewed the power cord while her daughter was playing on it. The computer shut down. I replaced the motherboard thinking that was it and that didnt help. I replaced the screen inverter and the backlight and neither of them worked. The computer does turn on but the screen is black.. What could be the problem? If I replace the screen would that work?

its totally black. you cant start it in safe mode and it only has 1 stick of ram. I will try different ram sticks as soon as they come in. The one in the computer looks a little on the brown side
