Computer won't Print. Virus?

Whenever I go to print whatever program is open the computer pops up with that screen that says the program has performed an illegal operation and I must click close. When I try this is word, the screen turns jumbled. I'm using an HP officejet 45 and it worked fine two days ago. Can anyone help me?

Since you mentioned it first, have you scanned for viruses today?
