    Hey all,

My computer worked great yesterday night, but when I turned it on this morning it makes the one beep (good), goes through the dos screen (good), but before the Windows load screen comes up, it restarts (bad). This cycle continues over and over again.

It still responds in the DOS menu. I've tried starting it in safe mode with no awail. In the BIOs menu, it still recognizes 1GB of RAM and even after defaulting the BIOs settings, it recognizes all the drives (hard drive and CD-drives).

I have a 9800 Pro. All the fans still turn (Graphics Card, CPU, etc etc).

Now, you great sages of this forum, what do you think the problem is? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

rolandde: If it was mine, I'd run the recovery console and CHKDSK and FIXBOOT.
Do you know how to do that?

No, I'm moderately literate in computers, so if you give me some pointers, I'd greatly appreciate it.
