So I just bought this condenser mic online. Have no prior experience when it comes to mic setups. The mic comes with a cable that has XLR socket that connects to the mic and a 3.5 mm head. Usually condenser mic comes with cables that have both XLR socket and XLR Plug because it is used to plug into a mixer/ phantom power. When I plug in the cable to my PC and try to test the mic, the mic doesn't pick up anything. I've searched online and it says it needs a Phantom Power Supply. But I'm confused because mics that needs Phantom Power Supply does not have a 3.5 mm cable. So I'm confused if I need a phantom power supply or is it just my PC side of the problem. Please advice.
