Hi All,

I have an Excel spreadsheet where the user would enter data in worksheet A. I was wondering whether Conditional Formatting can be used where any names entered in worksheet A that matches the data containing listed names in worksheet B would be colour filled in once the user enters it? If so, how do i proceed?

Example of spreadsheet enclosed. However, instead of worksheets, i used two different tables. But the idea is the same.

the name would need to be identical
you can not have John Smith match with J Smith

otherwise you should be able to use a countif()

=COUNTIF($E$1:$E$1000,B1)>0
