Hi guys..!! I'm just in need of a advice from you people to clear my doubt about which laptop to buy between them both. As I have thought a lot about it and can't really decide on which one to go with, so I need your help to buy the best out of both of these laptops. The laptops are Asus ROG Strix Scar 3 (i7 9th gen, RTX 2060 & 144Hz screen) variant and Lenovo Y740 (i7 9th gen, RTX 2060 & 144Hz screen) variant. It would be very kind of you if you suggest some of your views regarding my doubt.

Can you provide webpage links to both of those laptops so we can see what their hardware specs and prices are?

If it's going to be used primarily for gaming, the ASUS is probably the one you want.

I presume these are the ones you are looking at
There are reports of the Asus running hot but then as the review says, how do you run that sort of hardware on a laptop without it running hot.

I would NOT pay such an mount of money for a laptop, as despite all the improvements over the years IMHO the principle of a GAMING laptop is still not reality. There are laptops suitable for gaming, but they will NEVER be gaming machines.

However I appreciate that such opinion is not in keeping with modern times

If I was going to buy one I would go for the Asus, only because I rate their products above Lenovo, but that is only my opinion.

As I'm from India so I'll provide the links of our local sites of Asus and Lenovo,
    https://www.asus.com/in/ROG-Republic-Of-Gamers/ROG-Strix-SCAR-III/
    https://www.lenovo.com/in/en/laptop...vo-Legion-Y740-15/p/88GMY701059#tab-customize
The only reason forcing me to go with Lenovo Y740 is that it has a Nvidia G-Sync screen and a Thunderbolt 3 port to it which the Asus Strix Scar 3 does not have on it. Does that features really do matter much?

Couldn't have said it any better!

Now to the OP....I'm partial to Asus so I would choose the Asus laptop. Lenovo is a excellent 2nd choice.
