I have been using remote assistance to view a friends xp home machine
I have xp pro. there is no longer anyone on the other end to initiate a remote assist, but i have an admin account set up.
I used whatismyip.com to resolve their ip add. now i need to figure out how to re-cconect. any help would be appreciated.....

That's one of the limitations of XP Home. There isn't something like Remote Desktop that the Pro version has.

There are 3rd party programs that you can install such as Ultra VNC. Make sure you configure the appropriate port mapping and firewall settings to all it to connect.
