Hi guys and girls!

Wondered if anyone could help me with a problem I'm having... I have a toshiba laptop (little bit old) it has Windows xp on it... I recently rebooted it with the correct software and everything. It's still connecting to wifi and will load the home page to internet explorer but won't load any other pages... It keeps saying "page cannot be displayed no internet"

I know it's not my wifi as my phone and iPad connects fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Cheers :)

What firewall or security suite is, or ever was, on the system?

What home page is loaded? Is it current or a cached version?

Are you able to successfully access the internet when connecting via ethernet?

Open a (black) Command Prompt window:
Hold the Windows logo key and press r; in the Run box type cmd and click on OK.

Type the following command:

IPCONFIG /ALL

[Note that there is no space between the slash and ALL.]

[Press ENTER after the command.]

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter.
Paste the results in a message here.

If necessary use a text file and removable media to copy the results to a computer with internet access.
