Connecting laptop to TV

    Hey

    I just bought new Phillips LCD TV and i want to connect my laptop on it.

    I have HDMI option on my laptop and tv so i bought this cable to connect. Everything was okay, picture was great but there was no sound.
    So i bought this audio cable [​IMG]
    But there is still no audio eventho i connected this cable, tried different holes and im using VISTA 32, anyone knows what could be the problem with audio ?

    Hi horsovski, and welcome to TSG.

    First try plugging a pair of known good headphones into the headphone / audio output jack of the laptop and confirm you are getting the sound for the TV programming coming out of the computer.

    If that works OK then make sure you are attaching the RCA plugs to the stereo input jacks associated with the given HDMI input jack. Since HDMI can also support serial digital audio, you may need to go into the TVs setup menus and see if there are settings for selecting the audio source for the given HDMI input
