I want to connect my laptop to the internet and i already have my desktop computer connected to the internet at home. Would i have to get a pc card in order to get internet on my laptop at home ?, or would i have to take out the cable from my desktop pc and plug that into my laptop. I want to be able to roam around my house without any wires so i can go on the internet. If anyone could help me out, i'd greatly appreciate it.

    Thank You .

What type of internet connection do you have? (Cable, DSL, Dial-up?)
If Cable or DSL, what is the make and model of your modem?
Does the laptop already have a wireless network adapter? Look in Device Manager under Network Adapters.
