I live on a school campus and across the street is a wifi connectivity spot. I get signal but streaming still buffers badly. Its connected to t1 lines!

Is there anything i can use on my end to boost thecreception strength?

How can a guy sit on a boat in a marina and download porn but i cant get across the street? Maddening! A news report on that keeps running thru my mind as i wait for the buffering over and over. :( and that story was several years ago!

You could get a wifi extender which would make the wifi signal stronger & improve the reception for your wireless devices. There's no guarantee a wifi extender will solve your buffering issue but it should help.

I think WiFi extenders boost the transmitted signal, if so unless it's fitted 'across the street' it won't help.

It doesn't matter how fast their network is, the limiting factor is the quality of the wireless signal you can receive.

I'm not sure if what you want to do is actually legal but you need to improve your wireless reception somehow.

The guy in the marina is on an ad ? If so it's either an 'exaggeration' or he's paying a lot more for his wireless !

He may be using mobile internet on his laptop instead of the wi-fi across the street.
