I am running Windows 98 SE. After hooking up my new Panasonic DV camcorder to the system via a 1394 firewire card, I lose connection to the internet on the next reboot. On the reboot windows detects a new device and installs Microsoft TV/Video connection lan and asks for another reboot. After restarting, any time I try to make a connection to the internet, I receive an error with Invalid page fault in module <unknown> and the application closes (IE, outlook express, etc). There does not seem to anything wrong with the firewire card itself. The problem seems to be coming from this MS TV/Video lan connection. I am able to load images from my camera with no problems (as long as I don't want to use the internet).

The only way I have been able to restore my connection to the internet is to use configsave to restore the last system image.

I have searched google and found similar problem descriptions, but no one seems to have an answer. It seems that MS TV/Video LAN connection has come from Windows update.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
