Hi! Please help..

I have built a new gaming pc, but the bigger games tend to crash and now even smaller ones are. I have no idea what the problem is, somebody suggested RAM as i have had memory errors. What should i do?

Hi, first, I am not a gamer but you mention ram errors.
Run memtest86
https://www.memtest86.com/download.htm

Download the ISO file then burn to a DVD
Start the Pc using the DVD and run the memory test for at least 8 passes.

It is best to run a full scan on individual Ram sticks if you can.
Or run the test but if any errors are shown - then remove all sticks of Ram - test each Ram stick one at a time and test them in different slots.

Guide to using Memtest86+

======
Check for overheating.

Just a question here.....does memtest86 allow for a bootable USB as most modern systems being built are using case's with no external CD/DVD drives and most users don't have a portable USB external CD/DVD drive.

I'm only asking as I'm moving to a case as mentioned.

Thanks....I had no idea. Heck even the website looks different now......It's been years and years since I've pulled that site up.
