I have been having an excessive amount of problems staying connected to the internet. It seems that I lose connection and then a couple seconds later its back. My modem light doesnt turn off while im having the dc issues so its making it hard to figure out. Is there any way that I can test the modem or my ethernet card to see what is causing this connection issue. It doesnt happen all the time...sometimes I can use the internet all day long without a single problem. I spoke to my isp and the best they could tell me is to change the ethernet cable....I did but to no avail. Any response will be appreciated.

Hi, Don't know if it's relevant or not but I had similar problems with the cable connection from the modem to the telephone line jack at the wall jack point! Changing it (the wall jack) from one of those that simply wrap the insulated wire around a terminal to one where you actually strip the insulation from the wire & put it underneath a screw terminal cured my problem.
