Hi, this is my first question hear, hopefully someone can help me.
A few months ago I started getting a popup. It is titled "Bad Image" and would say "This Application or DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\xlibgfl254.dll is not a valid Windows Image. Please Check this against your installation diskette."
I happened rarely at first, but has just lately become very often and very annoying. I checked on google and downloaded Prevx 2.0 for free. It found the program but wouldn't delete it wthout me buying a subscription. I, being cheep, didn't buy one.
Now I have gone into My comp and gone into WINDOWS\system32\ and found something called "xlibgfl254.dll." I would like to know if i can simply delete the thing in WINDOWS\system32\ and solve the problem. It did tell me when entering "WINDOWS" and "system32" that the stuff inside is needed for running my comp so i dont want to delete at random.
If I can't just delete it, then I would like to no how to get rid of the problem because it is quite annoying.
I have a COMPAQ pressario 2200 notebook with windows xp
