I have a computer at work and some silly idiot has set a Content Advisor Password in the Internet Explorer, Tools, Options.
This is not allowing me into quite a few sites. How do I disable it without knowing the password. Thanks

    Hi,

    Do this:

    Hi,

    Import this reg file:

    REGEDIT4

    [-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Ratings]

Paste it in Notepad, save as Ratings.reg, and doubleclick.
    Reboot.

You may also need to delete the file c:\windows\system\ratings.pol

    This works!

    Good luck,

    Wait I second!

I keep forgetting: This board doesn't render Reg files correctly.

    DON'T import the file.

    Do this:

Go to Start/Run, and type Regedit.

    Drill down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Policies/Ratings
Click once on 'Ratings' in order to highlight it, and hit delete.

    Close Regedit, and reboot.

    Good luck,

thanks, been there, found nothing. Is'nt there a way to get rid by editing the register or re-installing Internet Explorer or even re-installing Windows.
