Hi, my system seems to have a couple problems. XP Home edition
It started a couple days ago and I was getting the pop up windows saying - antivirus XP 2010 - your computer is infected ... I
get this message when I tried to open my browser (firefox) or when I tried opening other shortcuts.

Then I researched this problem and a forum said to try malwarebytes antimalware, so I did. It took hours to do the scan (my drives are large) and I quarantined/deleted what it found (maybe too much?). Then selected to restart the computer.

When it restarted, the computer would reboot continuously. It would get to the windows flag, then restart. Next time it boots up it gets to a failure to boot screen that gives me the option to boot in safe mode, with last good configuration. None of these options will work, except when I boot up in safe mode (with or without networking) but I have to hit ESC when it says 'hit esc to cancel loading of SPTD.sys. If I hit escape, then I can get into safe mode.

I tried system restore back to last week, but that does not help.
I can now only boot in safe mode.
I noticed that when I do a google search on firefox, I click on a link and it redirects me off to some other website.

    Can you help?
