On three of my Windows 7 systems, the Administrative Tools in Control Panel were all empty. I have already copied and pasted them from another system so I have them back; but, I would like to know what would have caused such a thing.

    Any ideas?

Are the three computers sharing files/folders or networked together?
(If so it's possible that malware could have been to blame..)

Yes, they are networked; but, I have had no hint of virus or malware. If that's what it was, it sneaked in and sneaked out just as quietly.

Have you scanned those computers for malware recently with good, updated software?

Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes Antimalware. Neither found anything.
