Please help! I have mozilla firefox which uses .pdf for saving any word files. I created a document and I had no option to save it as anything but a pdf file. I need to convert this to a word document asap for work. Somehow when I opened the pdf file in a word format all that comes up is letter, symbols and numbers. My document is not gone but can't be opened in a word format so I can then save it to word. I know I sound illiterate and using the wrong terminology but I'm hoping I gave enough info. Also, when I open the pdf file, my PC only wants to print it. There's no command to close it. When I do try to export the pdf, I get a page that wants me to subscribe to Adobe ID. I already have that but it won't accept my password and keeps emailing me security codes. By the time I get back to enter the code, Adobe ID says that code is invalid and gives me a new one. I'm so perplexed. Why oh why can't there be an easy fix to anything!!!
Thanks in advance.

I'm confused. You can't create documents in Firefox. Are you trying to save the Word document from another source and if so from where?

I am using firefox for everything. No, I'm saving from another source. ( I think you mean IE, Chrome etc?)
Thank you

I'm sorry. I can create documents using Microsoft word but when I go to save it, I want it to go into my documents folder. But it won't. There's no option but to save it in Adobe .pdf. Then I can't send it as a word document in an email. I tried the Adobe one but it won't accept my password.

Why are you posting under a different username now?

What version of Microsoft Office (Word) are you using?

Please let me know which account you wish to keep and I'll close the other as we don't allow more than one account per user.

Please creat a test document and upload what you see when you try to save it.

I would like to keep " Cakediva" account.
Thanks to everyone for their help. I figured out what I did wrong and was able to send it as a Word file. It's Mozilla Firefox that's a problem with Adobe. I refuse to pay for something that I believe was free. If I'm not careful and save my documents in word, Firefox will save it as a PDF
file. Don't know how to get around it all. I haven't been able to get it through other sites. Thanks again. If I need help again I'll start another thread.
