converter app

    My son needs to do a school project and he is downloading a ring tone for the Simpsons but it is a wma or pdb file BUT he need that sound file to be a wav file or an mp3--- we cannot see to find this anywhere!! Do you know of any app that will turn a WMA file to a wave or mp3 file. Please help.

    Check out www.winamp.com. It's pretty good about converting files to .wav.

    Hi Jody- I have Winamp the old version and version 3 I thinki its called. Is there anything on that player that has this ability?? Rember the files are sound files called WMA's or MPEG's and I need to convert them to either MP3's or WAV's . Will winamp do this???

    Winamp3 is the latest version of Winamp. In checking their forums for information on converting from .wma to .wav using this version, the mods state it is <a href="http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=120003&highlight=.wma+to+.wav">not possible with Winamp3</a> but they recommend <a href="http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm">dbpoweramp.</a>

    See if you have any luck with that site. In the meantime, if you hit <a href="http://www.google.com">Google</a> and type in "converting .wma to .wav", the search page returns a ton of utilities that you can download/use.
