Copy Application to a New Computer

Hi:

I have a licensed copy of MS Office on one computer that I will not be using. I don't have the Installation CD. Does anyone know a process for collecting and copying all the files for one or all components so that I can install the application on a new computer? I want WORD, but would settle for everything.

I guess another option would be to copy the CAB file if it is stored on the original computer, but which CAB should I look for?

The CAB file will probably not be on the PC. Its never installed in that manner by default.

You need the original CD, as many of the files are simply extractions if the main files, at which time the registry is populated accordingly.

Copying the files themselves will not work, and taking a copy of the registry is likewise doomed.

If you have the licence, the CD Key etc, you could borrow an identical CD version for the install, simply use your licence detail.
