Would `copy & paste ' of the whole of the C drive to a 2nd drive give a true full useable copy . If not in what way would it be different ? thanks steve g

It will not boot up right in anyother computer no matter what you do and copying will not work because of the files that will not be copied correctly, Windows has a problem letting files that are in use be copied. About the only way you can do this is to use a program like Acronis True Image or other ghosting program to ghost the whole drive but it will not work properly in another computer basically because of the difference in hardware like motherboards etc.
