this may not be the right spot for this, so sorry, but i didnt see a compatable option.

what would be the easiest way to make a complete running back up of a hard drive.

i have about 15 programs i use frequently, and it seems every 6 months or so for some reasson i wind up having to do a reformat of my comp.
what i would like to accomplish is get a fresh setup with all the programs installed and running, then make a copy of that to another hard drive, so if i do have to reformat, i can just reload the existing setup instead of having to reintall all of those programs

    any ideas?
