Is it possible to copy just an os from one drive to another. The hard drive is failing and i want to install another one but don`t have an os disc, so i want to copy the os over to the new drive, if it`s possible?

You could image or clone the entire drive from one hdd to another, but not just the os by itself.

The drive is partitioned with the os in the recovery partition. Can i clone the recovery partition or do i have to clone the entire drive?
