    Hey, I built a brand new comp and i'll name the specs below. It's fast, but it's not as fast as i thought it would have been, just now i had a pretty slow boot up and i had to reboot. before i tried to multi task, i'm not sure if trying to install two things at once is a no no but the comp just restarted on it's own, here's what i have:
    Core 2 Duo Extreme QX6700
    2 Gigs of OCZ ddr2 1000 MHz
    Geforce 8800 GTS
    Raid Striping with 2 150 gig 10k rpm hard drives.
    Power supply ultra 600watt
    motherboard is Evga nForcce 680 i
    i'm not sure if this is enough information or if it means anything.

    errrrm, is there a question to be answered?

    Installing two progs at the same time isn't very wise, no - kinda like have two surgeons performing seperate operations at the same time. Messy!

    when you are installing a program, you are altering Windows. If 2 programs are altering Windows at one time, it is quite likely that one will not function correctly.

    I doubt the speed of the CPU a huge influence on the boot time by the way.

    OK, the actual EVGA part # is 122-CK-NF68-AR

    Do you have a motherboard monitor installed so that you can get the CPU temperature?

    Is this thread a joke? :confused: In post # 1 in thread;

    http://forums.techguy.org/hardware/523828-water-cooling.html

    on 04-Dec-2006 at 12:34 AM you stated;

    Then in post #1 of this thread posted on 04-Dec-2006 at 02:58PM you stated;

    So you're a college student and don't have $92 to throw around, but you have enough money to spend a couple of thousand on a Core Quadro processor, motherboard, memory, video card, etc.

    I really believe this thread is a sham, and if so it damn sure isn't funny. :mad:

    If you purchased this Core Quadro processor from TigerDirect as you stated, then scan in a copy of the shipping list and post it, so we can see that this thread is genuine.
