Just build a brand new system with an Athlon 64 3200 chip, but Corecenter says it's running at 2200.

What gives? I don't think the wrong chip was packaged because as far as I know, AMD doesn't even make a 64-bit 2200 processor, so I'm really confused.

im 99% certain its a setting in the BIOS. you just need to change a multiplyer.

But cant remember off top of my head which it is at the moment and cant test ( srry dude )

but some one else here should be able to tell you

What exactly does Core Center (?MSI utility?) say? The AMD 3200 is a 2.2 GHz chip. It's AMD's way of naming things.
