Okay, I have looked everywhere for an answer to this, so I'm hoping that someone here has a solution.

    The Problem:
I recieved Corel Paineter IX for x-mas last year. I installed it, and it worked fine. Now, this summer, I was recently working on coloring a piece of art. Almost finished, I saved and closed the program. I come back the next day and open it to find this message:
Bad Color Set File - Error on line 1
At first I thought "Okay, minor problem...I'll just click "ok" and go on about my business". But no, I click "ok" and the program shuts. I try opening it a few more times to recieve that same message.
Now, I'm not a complete moron when it comes to computers. The first thing I tried was to delete the program off the computer and reinstall it. Did that and got that same message. After that, I deleted all my saved stuff from the program, deleted the program and then reinstalled it. Still nothing:eek: .

    What do I do?????

You do what Corel advise on their website for this error which occurs when using that program on Windows XP or Windows 2000... that is assuming that you use XP or 2000, as you omit this critical data.

"To resolve this issue, do the following:

    1. Hold down the Shift key while starting the application. A prompt will appear asking you to confirm that you want to restore the default settings.

    2. Click Yes. Please note that your customized user settings will be lost as a result.

Note : This will erase all modifications including brushes, papers, textures and other customizations."
