I had this problem before on an XP desktop but i had a backup diskette.

Ok, i did not make a backup disk from the Vista OS and it didn't request me to do so when i first booted up or ever after that.
My laptop did not come with a Vista OS CD.
My harddrive has a corrupt boot sector.
How do i boot up without a Vista CD (i cannot get one) or backup disk (i cannot get one but i might be able to)?

I have a shadow copy of the original laptop harddrive on the D: partition while everything else is on C: partition.
