corrupt config.pol file

    i have a corrupt policy file. it's the default win95/98 policy. How can I repair this? can i recreate and overwrite? this needs to be created on a win 9* machine and copied to the NT PDC right? please help

    yes thats right! just create the default policy on a Wxx machine and place in the netlogon share of the pdc, that location is %SystemRoot%\WINNT\System32\Repl\Scripts\Export. Make sure you create the right restrictions in the new policy file

    thanks. just looking for some re-assurance before i go messing with registry settings. i think i'll re-name the corrupt one just in case this doesn't work. if this solves my problem then thanks again.
