I have over 40 corrupt files.I am unable to repair them. I have deleted Dos partitions and formatted the drive. I have reloaded win98 SE and it never fails the files are corrupt again. I have invalid page faults in almost every program that I open. I tried to upgrade to XP which failed. Then I tried a full install of XP and it could not copy any of the .dll files, this happened right after i formatted the drive. Is there hope....any help would be greatly appreciated.

Let me see if I got your post correct: You have formatted the hard drive, wiped it clean, installed Win98 and are still getting page faults? If this is correct and you didn't re-install Windows over itself, then it sounds like you got some RAM gone bad. Try replacing your RAM and see if that helps. How are you finding these corrupt .dlls? Are they part of the error you get?
