I'm trying to delete a driver in Windows XP, The driver is for Canon S630 printer, I tried to delete the driver from the control panel programs R&R and got a message error saying , The file is not valid or data is corrupted. so I tried to delete it with the canon un-install same thing.
I also tried file manager same thing. The printer is fully disconnected from the computer. I did restore back a month and it did delete but if I do that I found way to many things missing that I would have a hard time getting back, so I'm looking for an alternative.

you might wanna go into the registry and search for 's630'. see if you get any results. if you do, you can delete those (make sure it says canon or something relating to the printer in the line). going into the registry is risky..so be very careful. try at your own risk. if you try it, i suggest you export your registry before making any changes. so if your registry is damaged, you can restore it. i think xp has an auto restore though.
