This is from my daughter's PC. It's running very slow and always seems to give her problems. There's no telling what she and her roomates do with this computer sometimes. Thanks

I believe that most or those first R1 entries are a brower hijack. I will request that this thread be moved over to the Security forum.

Run Hijack This again and put a check by these. Close all windows except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

Restart to safe mode and delete:

    The C:\Program Files\Common Files\PSD Tools folder

How to start your computer in safe mode

    Boot back to normal.

    Go here

Scroll to the bottom of the page and look for the Submit file section.

    Click on Browse

Navigate to the C:\WINDOWS\System32 folder and upload the .... bdcz1k.exe .... file and let us know what you find.

These are not a hijacker, but if it were my machine I'd get rid of them:

....but when I ran hijack this

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [bdcz1k] C:\WINDOWS\System32\bdcz1k.exe

was not there. I think Norton and Spybot ran after I posted the log. Could that have wiped out that file?

It's still slow starting up and I did get a couple of pop-ups. Here's the updated log. I'm also pasting the start-up log at the end. I think there's a lot of unnecessary stuff loading on start up, but since it's a laptop, I'm reluctant to make too may adjustments without advice.

Boot to safe mode. You may want to copy these instructions to notepad so you'll have them in safe mode.

How to start your computer in safe mode

In safe mode run Hijack This again and put a check by these. Close all windows except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [indowsLogonW] C:\WINDOWS\System32\indowsLogonW.exe

Now find and delete the C:\WINDOWS\System32\indowsLogonW.exe file

It looks like this thing is morphing so if that one isn't there look for another odd looking entry like that which was not in the previous log. Fix it and delete the corresponding file if that is the case.
