Couldn't perform windows update nor update windows defense

I couldn't run windows update automatically. If I run windows update from the Start menu, it will come back with "error code 8024402C or 80244019 Windows Update Encounter an Unknown Error".

If I try to type in windows update address to go to the website, it will be rerouted to msn.com

Meanwhile, update for Windows defense has also failed.

My IE also has been running slow.

Any suggestion that I can update windows and solve all the problem?

When did this begin? Have you changed the way Internet Explorer connects, added a 3rd party firewall or began service with a new ISP (they sometimes used misconfigured proxies)?

I just performed a system recovery, and now i am having the same problem with windowsupdate.microsoft.com rerouting to MSN.com.
