I have a Dlink DI-524 wireless router. When I play counter strike source, and many other games, I get a good ping/latency but every once and a while, the game will seem to go into a frozen like state, where I can't move or do anything, until it lifts and I shoot forward in the direction I was facing.

    What could be causing this?

    My wireless settings are:

    Beacon interval- 1000 msec
    RTS Threshold- 2432
    Fragmentation - 2346
    DTIM interval- 1
    TX rate- Auto
    Mode setting- Mix Mode
    PreAmble- Short Preamble
    Transmit strength- 100%

I get about 55% to 65% signal strength

    It's probably choke . . .

Not much you can do about choke, make sure all the computer running on the router dont have any spyware or virus's . . .

None on my computer. I don't really have access to the other ones, although I'll try to run some checks on them

What happens is my choke is usually 0, or next to 0.

Then every once and a while it spikes to 30+ and then I lag like described, and then it goes back to 0
