Counter strike source

    i have downloaded counter strike source successfully...but when i open itthe loading screen comes and the then a black screen with some white tilted lines at the right of the screen......i can hear the background music and the sound of my cursor moving over the options but it remains black no matter what i do/...........i hav directX 9.0c(4.09.0000.0904)....2038MB RAM.....Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU
    E7400 @2.80GHz (2 CPUs).....display chip type Intel(R) GMA 3100.........pls help.........

    Did you download this through Steam or from somewhere else?
    Are your video card drivers up to date?

    i downloaded it from a cd.........then i downloaded frm the internet via utorrent...........in both cases the problem is same.........................i dont know if my video card is upto date.....pls tell me how to check......

    i downloaded a non steam copy from piratebay.org that works fine. Maybe ur antivirus is blocking some aspects of the program since it does need to be online.
