    I need to convert the months into years so that it places the number of whole years into one cell and the number of odd/fractional months (that are left over and don't make a year) in another cell beside it. Example: 250 months is 20.83 years, but I need it to show 20 (yrs. in one cell) and 10 (the remainder of months) in another. Help would be appreciated.

    In A1 enter the no of months, eg. 250
    in B1 (for example) enter =int(sum(A1/12))
    in C1 enter =mod(A1,12)

    hope this helps

    Here's another way with 12/1/1982 in cell A1

    In B1 =DATEDIF(A1,TODAY(),"Y")
    In C1 =DATEDIF(A1,TODAY(),"YM")
