    Hi,
I have a dell XPS 210 running bios version 4.2.0 and I want to upgrade my processor I found one on ebay its an Intel Xeon 3.14 GHz and it supports my socket size (LGA775) but I created a forum on dell.com and the same question the guy didn't know and then I asked a dell support engineer and he asked if I wanted to be linked to the hardware live chat which I was already in. So I know it fits but does anybody know if it supports my bios?
    Thanks, Aedan

Dell BIOS 2.4.0 is the most current version listed for the Dell XPS 210.
Either you made a typo or you obtained version 4.2.0 elsewhere.

So does that mean I can't put the Xeon in my computer?
What's the best processor for my computer?

    Wow that was quick. ;)

I see you have the latest Bios already.

I would keep an eye on the Cpu temperatures for a while after you fit the Q9900.
