Hi, Im getting a Intel Pentium 4/ 3.0C GHz w/ HT and i wanted to get a little bit better fan than the stock, i was thinking about the ZALMAN CNPS7000A-Cu Pure Copper CPU Cooler, will this fit and will it be better than stock? I dont want to spend over 50$ so if i cant get one for that cheap then ill forget it

Below are two fan\heatsink sets I has used on customers machines. Both do an excellent job at cooling. I also have used the stock fan\heatsink set included in the retail box pentiums and have never had one not cool properly. In fact my video unit is running a 3.06 Pentium HT with stock fan and during full render\compile for hours at a time the temp rises only about 6 degrees C.

Here are two alternatives both thermaltakes of which I am partial to:

    Hope that helps you.....

There is a review on the Swiftech MCX478-V HSF, and I think you'll like it after reading it.

Go to www.thepcelement.com The review is on the front page. The person who was reviewing it had his CPU overclocked. Check it out.

If you got the retail package, why do you think you need a better fan? I've found the Intel fans to work quite well on all the P4 systems I've assembled.
