Whenever i'm on winmx the comp will freeze then un-freeze
every 10 seconds then repeat over and over untill i reset
the comp. The only other time this happens is on nfl.com when
on sundays the site will upload stats the comp will do the
    freeze thing.

when web-surfing or anything else it works fine...no problems

does anyone else have this problem...or can anyone help

    system.....XP, 706MHz, AMD Athlon, 192MB RAM

check your task manager for cpu usage. sounds like one program is hogging your cycles. I would suspect spyware myself.

I would start by downloading a program such as Spybot and updating/running it. I would also clean out your startup menu and run a full V scan.

if problem persists after all this post back and we can start looking a little harder.

In addition, try using a Secondary Connection instead of Primary Connection.

If WinMX is set to auto connect at startup, then click cancel/disconnect (Networks tab) and checkmark Secondary instead of Primary. Now try to connect.

    Did you see my post?
Does it still freeze when using a Secondary Connection?
Or were you already using a Secondary Connection?

If it's freezing up on Secondary, then you've definitely got problems...

no avi downloading...just mp3's, if i am primary or secondary
how does that explain the same problem that happens on
    nfl.com during uploads?
