I know that the temp sensor doesn't read the actual temp. of a cpu since it doesn't touch. My question is--What is the maximum safe temp. for a socket a processor? Mine has read up to 119*f.Is that too bad?

I was worried because some fans made for socket 'a' will destroy the cpu. When I bought my [oem unboxed]processor , the fan was seperate. The clip on a socket 'a' needs to be offset and the thermal interface is critical. The clip on my fan was centered. When I swapped in a COOLERMASTER 1GHZ fan I noticed that one side of the die looked like it got a little hotter. Now it never goes over 102*.
