im going to upgrade my CPU

    current: 2Ghz AMD Turion / 512Kb L2 Cache / 800Mhz
    upgrade: 1.6Ghz AM Turion x2 / 2 x 256Kb L2 / 800Mhz

now i know the upgrade is slower but do you think overall performance would be better as its dual-core (2 x 1.6Ghz = 3.2Ghz processing power)

    whats others thoughts on this....

(yes its laptop CPU upgrade and my laptop is compatible as i know a few people who have done this and its fine, ACER 5051 BIOS for both single core and dual-core Turion's are the same)

    Thanks

If you multi task you will see a huge difference.

Like listening to mp3's, burning a CD while surfing the net.

multi core is the way to go.
