before today I would hit shutdown and the computer would go thru its normal proceedures and thrn turn itself off. Now it goes thru the shutdown proceedures and then restarts again. I'm trying to figure out how to fix this back to the way it was. I'm running win XP Pro. Any help would be appreciated. E-mail me at [email protected]. thx.

This is probably stupid but just what to make sure it is covered... did you make sure you weren't restarting? I don't have Xp yet (want it and am going to get Xp Pro within the next week or so) but anyway I am Me and the difference over 98se is that in the shut down instead of a list it gives you a drop down menu so I sometimes end up restarting when I want to shutdown because restart is selected in the dropdown menu and I don't notice it.

Possibility if you are using Easy CD Creator 5 or GoBack there have been issues with Shutdown-Restarts. If you are using these products you may want to contact Roxio and see if they have a patch for you.
