Running wundows ME. Had to restore system last night from restore disk via dos command/scanreg/restore...

Noticed that the available dates to restore to were Dec, 2003??

Today went to accessories, system restore to establish a restore point that auto inserted a date with the year 1970.

    Any ideas what is corrupted?

    Thanks

Likely, you need the System Restore patch from http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com Get all the Critical Updates and Service Packs while you're there, going back to the site after one patch or set is completed until no more Critical Updates and Service Packs are available.
