I encountered problems trying to create recovery discs for my hp pavillion dv 5000 on win xp. My pc recognises that I have already created recovery discs and would not allow me create another one. What do I do? If I restore my system to factory settings, would the system allow me start creating recovery discs again?

Hi,
I can't help you with the issue but I do suggest you try to get your forum name changed. I understand that spambot(?) can pick up e-mail names from areas like this and then you might get tons of spam.

Yes, I have done it on my HP System, once you restore your system back to factory spec, it will allow you to make a set of recovery disks again.

Hi kingoj77,
