    Hi all,

    Here's a perplexing problem..
I have both Creative PlayCenter 3 and Windows Media Player 9 installed on my system running Windows XP Pro.

Now, I've got PlayCenter set as my default player since it has all the nice EAX features.

Problem is, when I use Playcenter to play wma files made with Media Player 9, I get skipping, clipping and noise occasionally no matter what song I play. WMP has no problem playing the wma files without noise.

I'm convinced that it's something MS did to wma files so only WMP can play the files smoothly.

Is there some fast way to fix this? (a setting, patch, update, registry tweak, or something?)

    Thanks for any input..
    JS

    Hiya

The version of SoundBlaster that you're using: Which one is it:

    Gamer, MP3+ or Platinum

If you're not sure, go to Control Panel | System. Device Manager. Under Sound will be your card.

    Regards
