I bought this recently, it's a ******* for me to charge up. (takes ages) Battery life is crap due to the shinny light.

Can't find a store that sells armbands. might be time for operation apple ipod.

How long did it take to charge? The advertised battery life for the Zen V is 15 hours and iPods advertised battery life is about 12 hours. I've heard many good things about it's battery life......

Is there an option to change the brightness?

I have a Creative Zen V Plus, and it works really great. I don't think there is much difference between the two, not sure though.

I'd check and see if you can return it for another one, may have got a lemon.

Oh, and for armbands, you can check some out here

I got a philips go gear 8mb pics & music for $178 at wal-mart. I LOVE it. Want a car charger for it, but can't find one. Came with arm band. Ipod was 4gb for $197.
